Mounting System Installation

We install fixed-tilt and manufacturer-specified racking systems, assembling purlins, module clamps, and bracing per the racking supplier's installation manual. Mounting system installation is coordinated closely with the foundation crew ahead of us and the module installation crew that follows, keeping the overall field schedule on track.

Precision and Alignment

Correct racking alignment affects both structural performance and the electrical performance of the array once modules are installed, so we verify row alignment, tilt angle, and module clamp torque against the manufacturer's specification as each section is completed.

Working Ahead of the Module Crew

Mounting system installation typically runs just ahead of the module installation crew on a solar field project, which means our schedule directly affects theirs — a delay or quality issue in racking installation has a ripple effect on every trade that follows. We plan our sequencing in sections so that completed, verified racking is consistently available for the module crew to work from, rather than racing to finish the entire field before module installation can begin anywhere on site.

Handling Manufacturer Variation

Racking systems vary meaningfully between manufacturers — clamp designs, purlin profiles, and assembly sequences are not standardized across the industry the way some other construction materials are. We work directly from each project's specific racking manufacturer's installation manual rather than applying a generic assembly process, since details that seem minor (torque values, clamp orientation, purlin splice locations) are often specific to the manufacturer's engineering and warranty requirements.
