Guiderail, Barriers & Signage Across NY, NJ, PA, DE & MD
Road Safety Systems serves New York — a major market for our crews — alongside New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, as one contractor for DOT-facing guiderail, bridge railing, highway barriers, signage, fencing, and solar structural supports, wherever your project is located in the region.
Our Service Territory
Serving New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. Click a highlighted state to explore our local capabilities.
Road Safety Systems operates out of a single office in Folsom, New Jersey — shared with our parent company, RoadGuard — but our crews travel throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, and into the broader Mid-Atlantic and Connecticut region, for guiderail, bridge railing, highway barrier, signage, fencing, and solar structural support projects. New York in particular — including New York City — has become a significant part of our workload. Being based centrally in South Jersey puts us within reach of the NJ Turnpike, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and interstate corridors, and the DOT networks of all five core states without the overhead of maintaining separate regional offices.
Each state we serve has its own department of transportation with its own standard drawings, approved products lists, and specification requirements — NYSDOT, NJDOT, PennDOT, DelDOT, and MDOT SHA all administer their highway networks independently, even though many of the underlying engineering standards (MASH crash testing, AASHTO design guides, MUTCD signage requirements) are shared nationally. Working across all five states means our crews and project managers stay current on each agency's specific requirements rather than treating every job the same way.
The state pages below go into more detail on the DOT agency, terrain, and general considerations relevant to each state, along with the services we provide there. Wherever your project is located within our service territory, the process starts the same way — reach out through our quote request form and a project manager will follow up within 2 business hours.
New York, Including New York City
New York is one of the biggest markets Road Safety Systems serves today, and our crews are active across New York City and New York State on guiderail, bridge railing, highway barriers, highway signage, fencing, and solar structural support work, coordinating with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and other agencies the same way we do with PennDOT, NJDOT, DelDOT, and MDOT SHA. A dedicated New York service area page with state-specific detail is in development — in the meantime, reach out through our quote request form or Contact page and a project manager familiar with New York requirements will follow up.

One Contractor for Multi-State Projects
General contractors and agencies managing infrastructure programs that span state lines — a highway corridor project that crosses from New Jersey into New York, for example, or a solar field program with sites in both Delaware and Maryland — often find it simpler to work with a single contractor familiar with each state's requirements than to coordinate separate regional vendors for what is fundamentally the same scope of work. Because our crews already cover all five core states, we can support that kind of multi-state project without a hand-off between separate companies.
That same regional footprint also means we're able to respond quickly when a project comes up outside our typical service radius but still within the broader Mid-Atlantic and Connecticut region. If you're not sure whether your project location falls within our service area, the fastest way to find out is to reach out directly — we can typically confirm within the same business day.
